Terms of Service
1. Service Description
Elevate Language Lab connects families with licensed and qualified language educators for academic support in French and Spanish. Our services are specifically designed for students in grades 3–12, including those enrolled in Dual Language Immersion (DLI) programs.
2. Independent Operation
Elevate Language Lab operates independently and is not affiliated with the Park City School District or any other specific school district.
3. Academic Membership & Billing
Flat-Rate Subscription Model
Services are provided through an annual academic model of 48 weeks of instruction per year. Tuition is billed in 12 equal monthly installments to provide families with a predictable budget.
Anniversary Billing
The initial subscription payment is processed on the day of the student's first scheduled session. Subsequent payments will occur automatically on the same numerical date of each month.
Tuition Consistency
Monthly tuition remains constant regardless of the number of sessions in a given month. Monday holidays are mathematically offset by "5th-week bonus sessions" throughout the year to maintain a consistent annual average of four sessions per month.
4. Enrollment & Placement
Annual Enrollment Fee
A non-refundable $125 annual fee is required to reserve a student's spot on the roster.
Placement Assessment
This fee includes a mandatory 15–20 minute CEFR + ACTFL placement assessment used to match students with the correct proficiency level and licensed educator.
5. Attendance, Makeups, & Credits
- Notice Requirement: To be eligible for a makeup or credit, notice of absence must be submitted through Lab administration at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled session.
- Individual Plans: Students on an Individual Plan are eligible for one (1) makeup session per month, provided 48-hour notice is given. Makeups must be completed within 30 days of the original date.
- Group Plans (Partner / Small Group): As tuition secures a dedicated seat in a proficiency-matched group, no refunds are issued for absences. One (1) "Floating Credit" may be issued per semester for a missed session (with 48-hour notice), allowing the student to join an equivalent group session during the same instructional week, subject to availability.
- Late Cancellations: Sessions missed or canceled with less than 48 hours' notice are non-refundable and ineligible for makeups or credits.
6. Communication & Safety
Centralized Contact
To protect the safety and privacy of students and educators, all communication regarding scheduling, student progress, or academic concerns must be directed through Elevate Language Lab administration.
Privacy Policy
Direct private contact between parents/students and educators (via personal phone, email, or social media) is strictly prohibited.
7. Lab Access & Technology
Automated Link Delivery
Secure Google Meet session links are sent via automated email to the parent's registered address on the morning of every scheduled class.
Technology Requirement
Parents are responsible for ensuring the student has a working device and stable internet connection. Technical issues on the student's end do not qualify for a refund or makeup.
8. "No Extra Burden" Policy
Elevate Language Lab does not assign additional homework. Session time is prioritized for active speaking and may be used to support the student's existing school DLI assignments to lighten the academic load.
9. Fit Guarantee
If the first session is not a productive match, Elevate Language Lab will rematch your child with another licensed educator.
10. Cancellation Policy
Subscription cancellation requires fifteen (15) days' written notice prior to the next billing date. Failure to provide timely notice will result in the processing of the following month's tuition.
11. Disclaimer
Elevate Language Lab provides academic language support. While our licensed educators utilize research-backed methods to support student progress, specific academic outcomes or school grades cannot be guaranteed.
